Hello My friends,
I have been working diligently to change the car buying process from the inside for almost ten years now. As part of this quest to fix this broken process, I thought it made sense to ask people what they hated about the process.
Here are the top 10
One : My trade is not worth much to a dealership
Two: Depreciation as soon as you sign the deal
Three: The finance department
“the majority of the time i have to get up and leave the room because I cannot stand the relentless practices these guys have.”Anastasia C.
Four: Why can’t we buy cars like we buy computers.
“How we can’t buy our cars like we do our computers – customized with all the bells and whistles and delivered to your home within 1-2 weeks” Philip B.
Five: The fact that most salespeople can’t make decisions without talking to their manager or so they say.
“The “let me talk to my manager and see what we can do” routine” Michael C.
Six: The commitment questions
“What will it take for you to buy the car now” Mark S.
Seven: The lack of information at some dealerships
“Why can’t you get all the details at some dealerships before you make a decision” Joe S.
Eight: High pressure sales tactics at some dealers
Nine: Additional fees at dealerships that are not disclosed
“There is nothing worse that paying additional fees, handling charges etc at dealerships” Penny T.
Ten: Confusing programs and pricing at some dealerships
These are of course opinions from friends and connections on line and I would love to have feedback and suggestions from anyone online.
Please comment and help me make this happen, customers and the industry deserve a better process.
I want everyone to love buying cars……
Ian
